Who is Goodsted?
Goodsted's vision is to empower collaboration for social and environmental progress. We are a platform that connects individuals who want to share/volunteer their skills & expertise with non-profits and impact organisations. Through our digital platform, projects and organisations can post skilled based volunteer needs and find the right person to support their project. It is an open community platform with the aim to nurture collaboration to progress causes we all care about. With this post, we're looking to reach out to individuals interested in volunteering and grow our volunteer community.
Which organisation will you be supporting?
9Trees is the winner of the 2022 Natural Environment Award! 9Trees was formed in 2018 by Michael Cunningham, an experienced habitat and business manager. In 2019 he was joined by Ash Kent, an experienced countryside and habitat manager. We now have a team of amazing volunteers who’ve joined us. Their vision is to tackle climate change by restoring new woodland habitats, promote biodiversity, create jobs within the countryside sector and connect more people to nature. They are a Community Interest Company, ploughing any profits back into good schemes, training and education.

They need help with engaging the public in chatting about Biodiversity and Wellbeing Offering a Mindfullness station - colouring in wooden disks as a mindfulness exercise Drum up Vols & Event Attendees for a Public discussion on Biodiversity & Wellbeing in SPRING at SPARKS.
They hope to widen this engagement activity to Children's activities monthly e.g colouring in wooden disks when they find the correct volunteer. They will also use this time to get feedback about what people would like and they can think about Creative activities (they hope to make a Wooden Tree ID game of Connect 4). They also think; Monthly 'Meet the Biodiversity team' would be a fun way to maximise engagement invite others; The Bristol Tree forum / BirdGirl / Black2Nature
What do they have in place?
They have 6 Events on Thursdays. They have 2 pull up banners, colouring pens, wooden disks and a form to collect email addresses and a competition to win 9Trees. They have a few volunteers on the list and its managed by the Director who is Bristol Based. https://sparksbristol.co.uk/whatson/events/
